Pillinger’s sale of the historic six-bedroom home on Darling Street, in Balmain has set a new suburb record for Balmain, beating the previous record holder by more than $1,000,000. The home is one of Balmain’s finest and the sale got a mention in Domain’s Title Deeds on the weekend of 15th November 2019.

Brad Pillinger said “the home 100 per cent deserved to clinch the suburb record. It is such a stunning property and if it is was located on the waterfront, it probably would have cracked $10 million.”

The landmark residence on 750sqm was built in 1897 for Lewy Pattinson, founder of the Soul Pattinson chemist empire, and last traded in 2001 for $2.1 million when sold by meat merchant Alan East.
