In these unprecedented times, Sydney’s fine dining restaurants, now closed to dine-in customers, are quickly adapting and continuing to do what they do best, creating incredible dishes for you to enjoy at home. Whether it be for a special occasion or just to give yourself a heavenly treat, here is a list of what’s on offer for pick up and delivery across Sydney city and eastern suburbs.
Catalina, Rose Bay
Spoil yourself with delectable takeaway and deliveries from one of our favourites, Catalina Rose Bay. Their takeaway menu has includes freshly shucked oysters, and Cone Bay barramundi with prosciutto, crushed peas, zucchini, confit potato, dill aioli, watercress and bottarga. Pair it with your favourite bottle of wine. Our mouths are watering! Available Monday to Sunday from 12- 9pm (last orders 8.30pm). Delivery is $15 per order and delivery areas include Rose Bay, Double Bay, Point Piper, Bellevue Hill, Vaucluse and Woollahra. They are even offering curated wine packs for you to enjoy whilst in isolation with some incredible wines from their collection.
Bistro Moncur, Woollahra
A Woollahra institution, Bistro Moncur has been serving up some of the best classic French bistro style food for over two decades and now you can enjoy their excellent signature dishes from home. Their pick up menu includes entrees like Moncur salmon marinated in sauvignon blanc with aromatics and herbs, toast and mains like Confit duck leg, potato galette, burnt orange puree and duck jus. Pick up is available from 3pm – 8pm Tuesday to Thursday and from 11am – 8pm Friday and Saturday.
Part of Paddington’s DNA, Lucio’s has been serving the finest Italian food since 1983. They have started an at home menu with a new motto… Nourishing food, prepared by people you trust to enjoy at home. All dishes are 25% off their usual menu price. It includes classics such as Salad of radicchio with gorgonzola dolce & honey roasted walnuts, Fettuccine with ragú of braised spiced wild boar shoulder with black olives & chives, and Chicken involtino rolled with dates & pine nuts served on saffron risotto. You can also get access to their reserve wine list at 50% discount. Pick up available from 4-9pm Tuesday to Saturday, Delivery to Paddington and Woollahra available for a surcharge.
Buon Ricordo, Paddington
Buon Ricordo is one of Sydney’s finest restaurants, offering excellent traditional Italian food. They are, not only, offering a delicious takeaway menu with daily specials from Tuesday to Saturday 5.30-8.30pm, they have also transformed their dining room into a retail store, where you can purchase a range of fresh produce, pantry staples and their own products as well as frozen prepared meals. You can also purchase a lovely drop from their extensive wine cellar. Now that’s adapting!
Saint Peter, Paddington
Although this incredible seafood restaurant has temporarily closed, you can still enjoy chef-patron Josh Niland’s magnificent seafood creations from the Fish Butchery, a few doors up. On offer is a different dinner kit, each night to serve 2 or 4 people, cooked by the team at Saint Peter. Just order by midday every day and pick up is available from 3pm that day. They are also offering delivery to Paddington and Woollahra addresses. Their website shows menu options each day.
Chin Chin, Surry Hills
If you have enjoyed many nights at the fabulous Chin Chin, with its finely tuned modern Thai eatery and are hankering for your next fix of South East Asian food, you’re in luck. They are offering takeway daily from 4pm – 9pm. Dishes include Rendang curry of wagyu beef, cumin, coriander & toasted coconut and Stir fry salt & pepper silken tofu, gai laan, oyster mushroom & pickled turmeric.
Nour, Surry Hills
Nour’s philosophy is about creating fine dining Middle Eastern food and they do it incredibly well. They are offering a selection of curated meals which you can order by 12pm Friday and they will be delivered to your door on Monday. A minimum of order of 3 meals are required but include dishes like Mujadarra with lamb shoulder, Spiced chicken with wild grains, and Sous vide salmon with pearl couscous and beetroots. All you need to do is heat and serve. They are also offering a Nourish Market Box filled with pantry essentials so you can avoid crowded supermarkets.
